Marty SmithMarty, a native of Lincoln County, NC, shares in the management of the practice. Marty obtained his Bachelor of Science in business administration from Appalachian State University in 1988, joined the firm in 1990, followed by CPA certification in 1992. His professional memberships include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants.

Marty’s service to the community includes being an active Elder at the Unity Presbyterian Church in Denver, NC, where he participates in the music ministry programs. He’s a past president and past treasurer of the Rotary Club of Denver/Lake Norman. Marty was on the board of directors for the East Lincoln High School Band Aides for five years and was a former president and treasurer. He’s devoted his time to the Church Council of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Lincolnton and was the financial manager for Emmanuel Lutheran Church for over 10 years.

Marty and his wife, Cindy, were married in 1988. They have two beautiful and bright children and an adorable grandson. Marty’s personal interests include spending as much time with his family as possible while still finding time to play golf with friends and motorcycling with Cindy. He’s also a long-standing member of the East Lincoln Community Chorus.
